DTI, also known as Dress to Impress, is a Roblox fashion game where players create outfits based on a theme and compete in runway rounds. There is no traditional story, campaign, or sequence of narrative levels. The main objective is to interpret each theme, dress an avatar before the preparation phase ends, and present the finished look to other players. Themes can refer to fashion styles, professions, eras, colors, fictional ideas, events, or other concepts.
Building an Outfit for the Theme
At the start of a round, players receive a theme and enter the dressing area. They can choose clothing, hairstyles, accessories, faces, shoes, and other items, then change colors and combine pieces to create a complete outfit. The preparation phase is timed, so players need to decide on a concept and finish their character before everyone moves to the runway. There are no traditional levels, but repeated rounds provide different themes and situations.
From Dressing Room to Runway
Once the dressing phase ends, each player appears on the runway and presents their outfit. During a round, players can:
路 choose clothing and accessories;
路 recolor and combine different items;
路 change hair, makeup, and other appearance details;
路 use poses during the runway presentation;
路 vote for other players from one to five stars;
路 earn stars from other players’ votes;
路 compete for a place in the top three.
The final ranking is determined by the votes received during the runway section. The players with the highest scores appear on the podium before the next round begins.
Stars, Ranks, and Different Ways to Play
Stars earned from runway voting contribute to long-term progression. As the total increases, the player moves through fashion ranks, beginning with New Model and continuing through higher titles. Some progression milestones can also provide access to additional rewards or features. The game therefore gives players a reason to continue entering rounds even though there is no final level or ending.
DTI also allows players to focus on outfit creation outside the normal competition structure through modes such as Freeplay, where there is less pressure from a standard runway round. The main gameplay, however, remains centered on reading a theme, creating a recognizable outfit, presenting it with poses, and judging the work of other players. Success depends on how clearly the outfit represents the theme and how other people in the server choose to vote.
